Swim Practice

3/11/2013

Warmup: 4 x [100 free - 50 back - 50 breast]
Kick: 300 dolphin with fins
Drill: 6 x 25 scull
Main Set: Swim 3 rounds of:
300 free, moderate pace with good turns (:30 rest)
4 x 75 IM without freestyle, steady effort (:15 rest)
     (1:00 rest after each round)
Warmdown: 10 minutes drilling

Practice Notes:
A strong practice. I worked the dryland strength training so hard that I felt spent by the time I got down to the pool. I have found that I can swim with strength, however, after I have done a complete warmup. Warmup, kicking and drilling went fine. By the main set I was swimming with strength.
I worked the 300's pretty hard; times: 3:55, 3:50, 3:43. I worked the IM's, too. My backstroke is feeling pretty good, smooth and strong. Breast is going okay, too.
