Warmup: 4 x [100 free, 50 back, 50 breast]
Kick: 300 breast
Drill: 8 x 25 breast
     odds: double-pullout
     evens: whole stroke
Main Set:

Swim: 4 x (300 free, FAST + 100 active recovery). Best average (on 8:00 sendoff)
Swim: 6 x 100 free. Smooth & moderate with great turns! (:15 rest)
Warmdown: 10 minutes drilling

Training Notes:
I was somewhat daunted by the fact that the practice prescribed fast swimming after a hard week and strength training to boot. I worked the strength training hard anyway and felt it in warmup, kicking and drilling. On my first 300 of the main set I was surprised by how strong I felt right off the bat. I tightened up a little in the 2nd 100, but tried to maintain a strong pace and form. The last 100 I just gutted out, but was surprised how strong I could bring home the last 50. Time: 3:39. I kept waiting to fail, but pushed the rest of the 300's as hard as I could and felt strong for all. I worked them absolutely as hard as possible. 3:40, 3:41, 3:38. Beforehand, I was thinking I'd be happy to be at 3:45. I think rested I could have held 3:30. My 200 splits were all right around 2:25. I was particularly surprised, again, by how strong I could bring home the last 50 of all of them.

A pretty gnarly week overall, but I feel pretty good about it. Now I'll rest for two days and see how I feel when we start up again on Monday.
