Hey Coach Landis,

I was one of your swimmers at FVHS 72-75. Big respect sir, reading your swimming exploits. I knew you had kept swimming, what an awesome inspiration you are. I have kept swimming off and on my whole life but haven't swam for a couple of years. But I always did very well in the swimming part of the triathlons I did. And have done a few masters meets over the years, nothing like you. But swimming never leaves you, and the work ethic you and Coach Bray (RIP) taught us has stuck too. I currently am doing crossfit training and want to improve my running...but swimming is what I always fall back to. I still surf and will be trying to get my grandsons into that. The reason I looked you up was my friend/collegue in Hawaii, Gary Ryan just got a bronze metal in 50m free in Italy, world meet. By the way you still look great. Thanks for the life lessons and the inspiration. Bob Pull

I am a masters swimmer and have had some success at national and world levels. This blog is  a record of my training.

Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
