Always brutal these practices that push the lactic acid threshold.
Warmup and drilling went fine.
Smooth 50's were good to set up the fast swimming to come.
6 x 100 full speed on 6 minute sendoff:
     Times: 1:04, 1:03, 1:03, 1:03, 1:03, 1:04
Consistency is good, but I was hoping to go a little faster.
800 free steady, even split.
Wow, I really felt the sprinting on this swim.
     Yesterday I went 800 in 10:40; today, 11:40.
I just could not maintain any pace, nor could I even maintain the split. 400's were 5:40 and 6:00.
Long easy warmdown.

Good, strong practice. I felt good, though tired afterward, of course.
I felt like I could really hold a strong pace with consistence.
Warmup, kicking, drilling went fine.
Fly sprints felt okay; I did them with both arms and my shoulders feel okay right now.
Main set: 800, 600, 400, 200 beat the split.
Times:
     800: 10:42 (600 split: 8:02)
     600: 7:55 (400 split: 5:15)
     400: 5:07 (200 split: 2:32)
     200: 2:22
Warmdown as per usual.

Hard swimming today. Felt okay, but not especially sharp.
-- Warmup, kicking and preparatory swimming went fine, although my arms are still tight from hard sprinting on Thursday.
-- 6 x 400 on 6 minute sendoff, descending 1-3, 4-6.
        Times: 5:25, 5:17, 5:07, 5:32, 5:18, 5:08.
On a better day, fresher, I should be able to go under 5:00 on these.
-- 5-10 minutes warmdown as usual

Challenging practice, as usual, in spite of low volume.
Warmup, kicking, drill went fine. Loosen up 100's no problem
--12 x 50 Sprints from push off on long rest (3:00 sendoff)
I felt pretty good throughout; worked them as hard as I could.
I slowed down to :28.5 on the last three.
All the rest were right on :28, except for one in the early going that was :27.5
Long easy warm down.
Feeling just as tired afterward as I would from a high volume practice.
