I felt pretty good throughout, except for the boredom. No cramps this year, a big plus.
I got stronger as the race progressed; front half was 38:37, back half was 37:27. First 1,000 was 15:31, final 1,000 was 14:46. 100 meter splits got gradually faster from beginning to end. Last year I went 1:23:41. 7 minute improvement shows what hard aerobic training can do.
In '07 and '08 I went 1:14. Those were hard training years, too.
