Day One: Terrible weather delayed our start over Kearsarge Pass. We fled whiteout conditions on the top, with thunder and lightning playing among the peaks.
Day Two: Another beautiful, but unsettled day. From our Kearsarge Lakes camp we intersected the Muir Trail and headed south, down to Vidette Meadow then up Bubbs Creek Canyon toward Forester Pass.
Day Three: A long hard day. Climbing Forester Pass early. Descending into the upper Kern River drainage, leaving the trail and hiking cross country to a secret lake below Mt. Erickson.
Day Four: Another arduous day, descending to the Kern River then climbing high up into Milestone Basin.
Day Five: A layover day for exploring our surroundings in Milestone Basin.
Day Six: Back down to the Kern, over to the Muir Trail and north toward Forester Pass.
Day Seven: Climb Forester Pass bright and early, then a long descent to Bubbs Creek. A cross country ramble in to Center Basin.
Day Eight: A layover day to explore the upper reaches of Center Basin.
Day Nine: Descending from Center Basin to the Muir Trail then retracing our steps toward Kearsarge Pass.
Day Ten: Exploring Kearsarge Lakes on our way up to the pass. Then the final descent to Onion Valley.
